Prospect

Prospect is currently being used by a range of international organizations, government agencies, and donor-funded programs to support energy access, climate impact verification, and results-based financing at scale. Notable users and implementations include: World Bank / COMESA ASCENT Program (USD 5 billion) Prospect has been selected as the regional digital MRV aggregation platform for the Africa Sustainable Energy and Connectivity Transformation (ASCENT) program, implemented under COMESA. In addition, Tanzania and Rwanda have selected Prospect as their national digital MRV platform to support results tracking, impact verification, and disbursement under ASCENT-financed programs. Uganda Energy Access Scale-Up Program (EASP, USD 600 million) Implemented by the Uganda Energy Credit Capitalisation Company (UECCC), Prospect is used to manage and verify RBF claims for off-grid solar and productive use technologies, supporting large-scale disbursement and national program oversight. Togo TINGA Program Prospect has been adopted to support real-time tracking and subsidy verification for solar home system deployments under the government-led TINGA electrification initiative. EU Delegation Energy Portfolio in Nigeria Prospect is being integrated into EU-funded energy access programs in Nigeria to enable live project monitoring, claims verification, and aggregated reporting for national electrification efforts. GEAPP Women in Energy Programs (Ethiopia and Nigeria) Prospect is used to monitor deployment progress, track beneficiary outcomes, and support data-driven program delivery in gender-focused energy initiatives. EnDev Kenya Prospect is supporting data collection and results monitoring for solar and productive use technologies, strengthening market visibility and results-based approaches in Kenya. Rural Electrification Authority (REA) – Zambia Prospect is being introduced to help verify deployment, track outcomes, and improve data quality for grid and off-grid projects under Zambia’s national electrification programs. Other Donor and Implementing Partners Prospect is under evaluation or adoption in additional programs supported by KfW, the EU, and other bilateral partners in Sub-Saharan Africa, with expanding interest in its use for climate finance, carbon MRV, and digital subsidy management. Across these contexts, Prospect is used to: Digitally verify deployment and performance of decentralized energy systems Enable results-based financing and carbon impact tracking Provide real-time dashboards to governments and donors Interoperate with implementer systems (CRMs, devices, payment platforms)
